The English park was born in the 18th century under the influence of philosophers and artists such as the poet Alexander Pope, who advocated a return to wild and poetic nature. At Hautefort, you can enjoy over 30 hectares of it!

Choulot removes the 17th-century French-style park^th In the 19th century, the castle was converted into an English-style park, punctuated by numerous fabriques, which have now disappeared. This green setting is an extension of the visit, after the discovery of the flats and gardens.

At almost 70 metres high, it's always a great place to cool off. The openings punctuating the pergola echo the architecture of the main gallery, with its elegant arcades. Alongside it on the esplanade, a large boxwood parterre replaces the former outbuildings destroyed at the end of the 19th century.
